These evaluations were created by interpreting the opinions of speakers from the forums, statements from participants across all fields, and the editor's own personal observations and conclusions.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n II. INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON TEACHING TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROCEEDINGS BOOK The \"2nd International Symposium on Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language\" was hosted by Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University on 12-14 November 2020, with the participation of national and international universities, academics, and field researchers. This publication consists of the full texts of the papers presented at the symposium.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n SELECTED CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS OF EURASIA HIGHER EDUCATION SUMMIT EURIE 2021 Held online from 3-5 March 2021, the 6th Eurasia Higher Education Summit presented 13 papers transformed into short articles by their authors. These articles, related to international education and higher education, cover topics such as international student mobility, virtual exchange programs, internationalization in higher education systems across different countries, digitalization in higher education, and online education. The views of experts and practitioners in the field shed light on current issues in the global international education sector.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 1921 CONSTITUTIONAL LAW'S 100TH ANNIVERSARY BOOK The 1921 Te\u015fkil\u00e2t-\u0131 Esasiyye (Constitutional) Law, a landmark in Turkish democratic history, was replaced by a new Constitution that addressed contemporary problems, just like the earlier 1876 Kanun-\u0131 Esasi. This book, prepared by Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University Atat\u00fcrk Principles and History of Reforms Application and Research Center, commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Te\u015fkil\u00e2t-\u0131 Esasiyye Law. It includes scholarly articles from experts who have become authorities in the field, examining the historical and legal foundations of the Te\u015fkil\u00e2t-\u0131 Esasiyye Law from various perspectives.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n TEXTILE, FASHION, ART, DESIGN SYMPOSIUM AND EXHIBITION CATALOG <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n TEKST\u0130L, MODA, SANAT, TASARIM SEMPOZYUMU VE SERG\u0130S\u0130 B\u0130LD\u0130R\u0130 K\u0130TABI The goal of this symposium was to raise awareness for a new perspective on textile arts, textile design, textile fashion, textile technologies, and the <\/strong>role of <\/em><\/strong>textiles in education. The symposium included invited speakers and papers to discuss, evaluate, and create scientific environments to address the current state of the textile and fashion sector in detail.<\/p>\n Over two days, nine sessions included 39 oral presentations by speakers from various universities, institutions, and organizations. The publication features experimental, quantitative, and qualitative research papers, aiming to contribute to the field of higher education.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n WOMEN AND POLITICS IN A GLOBAL WORLD INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS PROCEEDINGS In Ancient Times, women, along with racial and ethnic minorities and lower social classes, were neglected and effectively excluded from political processes. This exclusion has brought the image of women being distant from politics to the present day. Politically, the family was considered the primary unit, with the head of the family being male, thus the head of governments was thought to be male, and this was the prevailing practice. Politics was essentially seen as a male-dominated activity. Women were often confined to the home, with their duties being seen as focused on their children, spouse, and household chores, leaving no room for them in politics.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n EARTH IN EVERY FRAME OF LIFE This document was prepared in conjunction with the 1st International Soil Summit, organized by Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University and Do\u011fa Schools on December 3, 2015, at the IAU Florya Campus, in recognition of 2015 being declared the Year of Soil by the United Nations both globally and in Turkey.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n CULTURAL LANDSCAPE OF VAN-TURKEY This study aims to share the most current information about the cultural landscape of the Van region.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND SUSTAINABILITY SYMPOSIUM The theme of the \"Corporate Governance and Sustainability Symposium\" is \"Innovative Approaches in Governance.\" The symposium focuses on corporate governance, sustainability, and investigates the social, economic, and environmental approaches to sustainability. The goal was to add an innovative vision to corporate governance practices in these contexts. The symposium was enriched by the participation of civil society organizations, the business world, and academic circles, and it was held at Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University, the first university to implement Corporate Governance Rating.<\/p>\n EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LEAN, I LEARNED IN FIRST GRADE Organizations embark on successful lean journeys by understanding that lean complexity lies in simplicity, which involves having a plan, making the plan, monitoring the plan, and then making adjustments for improvement. However, we must continue to ask: Why is it so difficult for organizations to understand and execute lean principles effectively? The foundation for sustainable lean success and operational excellence is understanding that it is a way of thinking. Lean tools were developed to solve specific organizational problems. However, companies attempt to apply lean tools without clearly understanding which problems they are trying to solve. This brings the question: Why do we want to solve problems in the first place? The answer is to make the organization stronger. <\/p>\n THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL STRUGGLE The National Struggle, which we proudly commemorate on its 100th anniversary, emerged as the existential fight of the Turkish nation, which rejected subjugation and remained steadfast in its pursuit of freedom and independence. Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk, after the occupation of Istanbul at the end of World War I, set out with a firm belief that \"they will leave as they came.\" With the idea of establishing a \"new Turkish State based on national sovereignty, absolutely free and independent,\" he headed to Anatolia and, with the power and support he received from the people, set his plans into action. This struggle, carried out with immense belief, determination, and resolve, resulted in victory for the great Turkish nation despite all the impossibilities and was recorded in history as the \"War of Independence.\" The proceedings book of the \"100th Anniversary of the National Struggle Symposium\" published by the Atat\u00fcrk Principles and Revolution History Application and Research Center contains valuable academic studies that help us better understand and remember the efforts for independence and the challenges faced.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n JOURNALISM MEDIA RESEARCH ARTICLES This work compiles and evaluates the research articles prepared by students of the Journalism Department in 2019, who have succeeded in communication science research methods and techniques. The original research in the article texts includes analyses of how current events are communicated to the public through news and the content used, all analyzed through scientific methods.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n THE STORY OF EVERYTHING THAT GOES TO WASTE<\/strong><\/p>\n The book, The Story of Everything That Goes to Waste, addresses the issue of waste in the globalizing world, offering insights into the mistakes we make while using scarce resources. It presents academic studies, articles, and statistical data on the topic, transforming them into an easily understandable narrative. \nLean aims to serve customers better without making mistakes, increase revenue, and reduce costs. The term \"lean journey\" now almost takes on philosophical connotations, but let us not forget that it is about improving the business. Lean is a concept related to results. Organizations struggle with their lean journeys because they focus solely on lean tools and fail to spend enough time thinking about and understanding lean principles. Thus, the book titled \"Everything I Know About Lean, I Learned in First Grade\" exemplifies lean applications through activities that take place in elementary school. In this context, the adoption of lean thinking in organizations can be achieved through very simple activities. This presentation aims to demonstrate that lean principles can be applied in our daily lives and that by using these principles, we can simplify our workflows in every area of our lives.<\/p>\n\n
